We live in a world filled with comparisons and competition. We have to be the best at everything. People are making choices based on the color of our hair, our eyes, how fast we can run, and how quick we are at maths — and maths is a real muddle. There's so much expectation that you have to be good and be the best at all things.

Unique and Loved Just as We Are

But isn't it true that we are unique, and God loves us just as we are? A funny mixture of talents, actions, beauty, handsomeness — we are, each of us, unique, and God loves us just as we are.

Every Pan Has a Purpose

Last night I cooked a beautiful barramundi fish in a pan. It was so delicious. I cooked it on the skin side so it crisped up and got a caramel-like crust on it, and I put a little bit of soya sauce — just that little bit of salt.

But in another pan, I cooked the prawns, and it was a very hot pan. They sizzled with a delicious smell. They were all sweet. And I put just a little bit of garam masala — a little taste and sniff of India.

And then on top, I got some orange juice and butter and a little bit of pepper and made this beautiful orange sauce.

I put it all together and it was delicious.

Every pan has a purpose. Every life is unique and different, and God loves us just as we are.

The Glory of God

The glory of God is a person fully alive.

You just have to be unique and know that you are loved.
